Multimedia Keys in XFCE

VolumeUp :            amixer -q set Master  2+ unmute 



VolumeDown:         amixer -q set Master  2- unmute 

Mute:                    amixer -q set Master toggle

  2. I'm not sure if this doesnt work for machines other then Dell, but if you try creating keyboard shortcut and adding this command and then press whatever key for volume-up/down/mute you do have .. this should work.

  3. I never go with the full implementation mentioned on link in my post. but just do what three steps i mentioned . and it gets me going :)
